Kenya Art Fair 2014

The Kenya Art Fair 2014 is set to open to the public from the 6th to the 9th of November 2014.The 4 day fair has the following four exciting features


This area will showcase some of the top galleries,art centers and establishments in the country.Each tastefully curated stand will showcase a variety of artwork from the artists they represent.

They will give you an inside scoop on the top selling artist in Kenya, the current art markets as well as how their work has shaped the creative scene in Kenya.

The Wasanii exhibition is a grand showcase of over 200 artworks from various artists across the country.

This exhibition space will be full of exhibited artwork showcasing paintings, original prints, photography and sculpture by both established and upcoming artists.

It is a fantastic opportunity for you to get your hands on some unique and original pieces of art work priced between Ksh 3,500- Ksh 750,000.

On a lighter note,you can also view the award winning entries of the long running cartoon competition that sought to uncover Kenya’s next top cartoonists.The entry categories were as follows:

  1. Editorial/caricatures category- open to all above 12 years old.

RUNNER-UP – KSH 25,000

2.Cartoon strips category- open to all above 12 years old.

3.Children’s drawing category- open to all under 12 years old.



Running concurrently with the art fair, will be interactive art talks and conversations on everything ‘ART’ facilitated by professionals and practitioners in the industry.

Art Talk is definitely one of the most exciting activities in the overall Fair programme. These sessions are filled with relevant and timely topics concerning the contemporary art scene. Artists, gallerists, art historians, curators, museum directors, publishers, art lecturers, government stakeholders and art collectors will participate in panel discussions, presentations and interviews.

The ART TALK series offers a safe platform for discussions that allows audiences access to an insider’s point of view. They encourage a multi-layered and multi-disciplinary exploration of some of the salient themes and issues reflected in the local Arts Scene. Dynamic dialogues will take place between prominent members of the art world, each offering their unique perspective on producing, collecting, and exhibiting art. The speakers will also address social issues that affect the general creative industry.
