Nyawanda is inspired by the experience of life and his work is show human figures. The human figures have eyes which portray their feelings and make the subjects on the canvas interact. Recently Nyawanda made a series of paintings in which the male figures had animal heads and human bodies. By showing the male like this Nyawanda outs his criticism about the selfish and corrupt attitude of some men and current male politicians in Kenyan parliament. Currently Nyawanda focuses more on his own life and is still discovering which route to take. The paintings of Nyawanda overall are intended for people to enjoy the color, texture and humor themselves.
