Residency and Workshop Opportunities for Artists

Thupelo Prince Albert workshop 

Thupelo workshops are artists led and were initiated in response to a need for interaction between artists. This workshop will include up to 20 artists from around the world; all with experience in their various practices and able to experiment, exchange knowledge and expand their ideas. This workshop will also aim to engage the citizens of Prince Albert.

Time line:11th – 24th September 2015

Costs covered by Thupelo include:Accommodation, Transport to and from Prince Albert (from Cape Town), Catering and some Art Materials.

Infecting the City Festival 2015

Africa Centre is calling for proposals for Infecting The City Public Arts Festival that will be held from the 9th – 14th March 2015.

This call is for works from two categories: New Works and Restaged Works. Visual, performing artists and practitioners from other disciplines are invited to submit. The work can be a full ensemble piece, intervention, live performance, installation, video, totally interactive or some other form newly imagined. All works should translate to or work within a public environment, and actively engage intentional and incidental audiences alike. KLA ART Workshops

KLA ART 014 is Kampala’s biennial contemporary art festival. Throughout the month of October, the festival will showcase contemporary artists from Uganda and Uganda’s neighbouring countries to the public. This year’s theme is Unmapped; who are the unheard voices of our cities? How can we represent and celebrate the unseen urban-dweller?

Australian Embassy : Artist in Residence Programme

The Austrian Embassy has the pleasure of sharing a call for applications for the Artist-in-Residence Programme 2015, sponsored by the Austrian Government.

Applications can be submitted for only one of the following disciplines:Visual arts,Art photography,Video and media art,Design,Composition,Literature,Art Educators and Curators.
